UT Austin’s Final Theater Show with Musical Theatre Majors

AUSTIN, TEXAS –‘The Drowsy Chaperone’ will be the final show produced in the UT Department of Theatre and Dance to feature Musical Theatre Majors.  A decision taken in 2014 to remove Musical Theatre Degree plans from the curriculum is implemented with the classes following those performing this week.  The Director, Music Director and Lead Actress of ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’ spoke about this last musical.

Austin Tech Entrepreneur Joseph Kopser to Run for Congress in 2018

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Joseph Kopser is a West Point Graduate, former Army officer, and local businessman who will be running for Congress in the 21st District of Texas in 2018.  I talked with Jospeh and his wife Amy about leadership and problem solving as parents, in the Army and for Austin.


Slain Texas Tech Police Officer Memorialized, 17 Oct 17.

TEXAS CAPITOL, Tuesday, Oct 17, 2017 —  Slain Texas Tech Police Officer Floyd East, Jr was memorialized in El Paso, Texas.  A suspect shot Officer East on Oct 9, in the Texas Tech Police station, during booking.  Hollis A. Daniels III, a nineteen year old freshman at Texas Tech, is currently being held with $5 million bond in Lubbock, Texas, charged with Officer East’s murder and possessing a stolen firearm.  Officer East’s murder was not a failure of the Texas Campus Carry Law, signed at this Capitol two legislative sessions ago.


Blanton Art Museum Sept 2017

The Blanton Museum of Art in Austin, Texas recently opened a Latin American gallery.  The Blanton Museum and their Latin American Art Curator spent a few minutes with me discussing the collection.
